Day 1

Sofia arrival transfer, dinner, accommodation.

Day 2

Departure from Sofia to Rila Monastery UNESCO site. Tour. Continue to Bansko museum town, located at the foothills of Pirin Mountain ( national park ).

Day 3

From Bansko along mountain roads to the museum villages Kovachevitsa, Leshten and Dolen. Evening arrival to Shiroka Luka museum village. The village is located at the foot of the northeast sides of the West Rhodope, and the southwest slopes of Chernatitsa. The houses are amphitheatrically located on the two banks of the Shirokolashka river. The old houses in the village have massive stone construction, bow windows, wood carved roofs and stone made chimneys. The cobblestone streets, bridges, thick white walls of the tall houses with their small windows, the cobblestone yards, and the typical stone fountains have unique face and charm.

Day 4

Tour of Shiroka Luka. In case interested – visit the nearby Trigrad Gorge. Proceed towards Bachkovo Monastery, Assenova Fortress to Plovdiv.

Day 5

Full day Plovdiv - visit the Old Plovdiv architectural reserve with the National Revival houses, St. Constantine and Helena Church, The Ancient Amphitheatre, visit the workshop of a local potter, etc. Overnight at the same hotel.

Day 6

Departure from Plovdiv to Kazanluk – the centre of the Rose Valley. Tour. Proceed via Shipka peak to Etura Open Air Ethnographic complex. Tour. Afternoon to Triavna museum town ( iconpainting, woodcarving ) and Bojentsi museum village. Evening arrival to Arbanassi museum village, located on a hill above Veliko Turnovo. Day 7

Full day to explore the region of Veliko Turnovo – tour of Arbanassi, Veliko Turnovo, the nearby monasteries – Transfiguration, Petropavlovski, etc.

Day 8

Depart from Arbanassi to Troyan, Troyan Monastery, Beklemeto mountain pass and Koprivshtitsa museum town. Tour. Departure to Sofia. Overnight.
