| The idea of organizing a festival in the
heart of Long Island wine country was born in the summer of 2006 when
Lana Parshina, an independent film producer, had a meeting with Bob
Kern, manager of Martha Clara Vineyard. Ms. Parshina was looking for
locations to shoot part of her film project, "The Wine Affair".
Being an active member of the wine making community and a vineyard
with a vision, Martha Clara had plans beyond promoting its property
in film, but rather having something cultural that would benefit the
whole region. Thus, the idea of a film festival to take place in the
busiest time of the year was born. |
